The beginner series is a great way to start your yoga practice. Our In Studio 6-week series teaches new students the fundamentals of yoga and provides a safe and engaging learning environment.
For beginners as well as practicing students this slow paced series can provide a good starting place and solid direction. We will cultivate a gentle foundation to explore skills including:
* Learning basic poses
* Names of poses
* Use of props
* Connecting breath with movement and more
Jamie Sullivan is a 200hr. EYT who has been teaching yoga since 2014. She is a registered teacher through Yoga Alliance. Her journey began as she discovered her personal practice in 2008. Realizing it was much more than just a physical practice she was intrigued by the spiritual teachings as well and decided to enroll in a teacher training program in 2013 in Bethlehem, PA.
Jamie is versed in teaching many styles of yoga including Vinyasa, beginners, gentle, power, chair yoga and more and is also certified in restorative yoga.
Jamie’s primary focus in her classes is teaching proper alignment in moving into, holding and moving out of poses in order for students to maximize stability, power, energy and flexibility to support a lifelong physical practice of ease and effort.
